NES Tetris (PAL): A 37-year-old new challenge

I have been playing NES Tetris basically nonstop for a few months now. My default starting level is 9, and I am increasingly comfortable with it. Today I got to a new high score.

“444,625 points @ Level 16”

Sadly I wasn’t recording at the time, so I can’t prove it. Oh well. For me it was a nearly perfect game. I transitioned to Level 10 at 220,000 points. I’m not gonna try to do the math to convert my score into NTSC Tetris. The two versions aren’t comparable at all anyway.

To close this post, I’ll attach Dave Eddy’s piano arrangement of Terry A. Davis’ Risen hymn. The original is beautiful in its midi glory, and the somber piano is very well done.

Oh also I’m still alive. Don’t get used to frequent posts.
