I recently discovered that YouTube was also showing ads on videos I had embedded into this cute little blog here.
Now, this isn’t very surprising:
But it led to me sighing a lot and removing all traces of YouTube’s proprietary video player. youtube-dl is fucking awesome.
So if I have something to show you guys I’ll host it myself and not link to it.
Since no one reads this blog that won’t be a huge burden traffic-wise.
My torrent client generates tenfold of what this blog does.
Edit: Actually since I don’t keep any sort of statistics of who visits this blog I wouldn’t know how much traffic it produces. But I’m pretty sure it doesn’t matter.
